(☾☆) — The little woman had been walking through the city in wonder. At times she forgot such a lively place was so close to her. She was so accustomed to being surrounded by woodlands that she almost became overwhelmed by the skyscrapers. Rosemary was internally cursing herself for not bringing her sketchbook. Then again there were so many things that catching her eye at the moment that she doubted she’d be able to pick just one thing to draw.
The sound of the man’s voice had brought her out of her daze. Large brown eyes flickered as she simply stared at him for a few moments before actually speaking. ❝It seems fine to me.❞ Then again she was never good at picking up dangerous areas or situations.
for whatever reason, be it the sheer naivety that tinges the air upon the release of her reply, or the ignorance wrapping about it neatly–he can’t help the subtle curl that starts at the corners of his mouth. but his brows, at the least, manage to seemingly knit together to fabricate a dry sense of concern towards the young woman, misplaced with her vibrancy.
❝ you’ve got a very broad definition of ‘fine’. ❞
he snorts, stowing away his video games for the time being. abandoning the wall he’d posed himself against, short steps are taken towards her, gaze finding themselves toeing the very thin line of discerning and downplaying. but another kind of smile found itself forming his lips, a more genuine gesture that appeared as if to disband any thought regarding him in a, more or less, suspicious light.
then again, with this girl, it probably would have taken more than a dulled grin and burrowing eyes to warrant such a level of precaution.
❝ well, i wouldn’t be able to sleep at night if i let a little bit like you walk around, unsuspecting and unprotected. where are you headed. i’ll walk you there. ❞
tiny, is the first thought that finds him. initially there’s a fleeting glance, eyes with the preference to be swollen with the sight of the flashing graphics and effects provided by the handheld gaming system than that of a dainty woman, with her delicate frame and fair grace. it isn’t an unbecoming view, just not the sort to lock his immediately lock his attentions.
( besides, he’s got a nasty habit in dealing with pretty things. they just never seem capable of staying that way. not at the weight of his finger tips. )
but then a second look is spared; it lingers and mildly scrutinizes. no sooner is he back to the epileptic comforts of his video game.
although, ❝ you sure you want to be in this part of town. ❞
